Tupac Shakur, also known as 2Pac or Makaveli, was born on 16 June 1971 in East Harlem, New York, and tragically died on 13 September 1996 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Recognised as one of the most influential rappers in history, Tupac not only left an indelible musical legacy, but also became a symbol of social struggle, poetry and cultural resistance.

Beginnings and Professional Career of Tupac Shakur
Tupac grew up in an environment marked by political activism and the struggle for civil rights. His mother, Afeni Shakur, was a member of the Black Panthers, which profoundly influenced his worldview. From a young age, he showed an interest in the arts, studying acting, poetry and music at the Baltimore School for the Arts.
His musical career began as a dancer and rapper for the group Digital Underground before he released his debut album, 2Pacalypse Now, in 1991. This album marked the beginning of his cultural impact, addressing issues such as police violence, social injustice and poverty.
In 1993, Tupac achieved greater recognition with his second album, Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.G.A.Z., which includes such hits as “Keep Ya Head Up” y “I Get Around” . However, it was his album Me Against the World (1995) that established him as a key figure in hip-hop, achieving unprecedented commercial and critical success.
That same year, he signed with Death Row Records and released All Eyez on Me (1996), a double album that included classics such as “California Love” , “Ambitionz Az a Ridah” y “How Do U Want It” . This album became one of the best-selling albums in rap history and reaffirmed his status as a music legend.
